- Three large lead-acid
batteries powered a 40-volt Westinghouse motor, located under the seat.
- The Runabout includes a
top, which was not a standard feature on Studebaker electrics.
- Though not built for
long-distance touring, the Runabout could get 30-50 miles on a charge—more
than enough for a pleasure trip around town.
