STREAMLINED: THE STUDEBAKER CONNECTION
Presented by Aaron Warkentin, Studebaker National Museum Curator
Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 1:30pm in the Wiekamp Auditorium;
$2 admission / FREE to Studebaker National Museum members, refreshments to follow
The special exhibition Streamlined: Style in Motion is a fascinating study of a beautiful design language. The advent of industrial design combined with wind tunnel testing saw the boxy shapes of the 1920s give way to graceful streamlined silhouettes that spread across the entire industry. Streamlined: Style in Motion features some of the landmark automobiles from this period.
The eight cars in the exhibition also have an unexpected similarity: each has an intriguing connection to Studebaker. Join us as Aaron kicks off the 2019 Speaker Series with a look at these fascinating connections through the Studebaker lens.
The Studebaker National Museum is located at 201 Chapin St., just west of downtown South Bend. It is open Mon.-Sat., 10am-5pm, and Sun. Noon–5pm.
